Photography About Rare Occurrences

February 29th, 2024

A Leap Year happens once every four years, and its origin stems back thousands of years, tied to the creation of the moon and solar calendars. Happening infrequently but regularly, it is a rare occurrence, an oddity, a tradition interpreted in different ways by different cultures.

Photographers Erica Reade and Gaspar Marquez invite photographers to submit imagery that responds to this theme. Whether the imagery is about capturing a rare occurrence or object, documenting an infrequent but regular event, or creating imagery that contains a feeling of oddity or uniqueness to it, please submit works that respond to the theme of The Leap Year Show- Photography About Rare Occurrences. Creative interpretations of the theme are welcome.
